Wordless Wednesday: random pictures in my camera

*this hybrid grew in my garden from last years thrown out seeds! it looks like zucchini inside*

WWWaT: A different view

Once again, I'm joining the multitude of contestants in Rachel's WWWaT (wordless Wednesday with a twist!). This week's theme is "A Different View". At first, I thought I had no idea how to do this and wouldn't be able to do it. But, then playing on the floor with Kian, I started taking pictures from his view. So, without further ado, and much less words:

And with the copious amounts of rain lately, we've finally been rewarded by this:

*those 'poles' are a foosball table just in case you were wondering, and the darts are my fave!

WWWaT--finally! Summer/4th of July

Unfortunately, with all the work, home, random events, activities and responsibilities I just haven't had time-or energry- to participate in Rachel's Wordless Wednesday With A Twist contests! I am this time! Having some time off for the holiday allowed me to get some pictures finally. Head on over to Rachel's to view more, and lovelier, WWWAT entries--after viewing mine of course!

Here's how we spent our long, summery weekend:

First order of business-napping!

Then, finding the only, lonely dandelion left in the yard

A little fishing and swimming

And outdoor playing (practicing walking!)
Fireworks over Canandaigua Lake

With all the fam-
I really tried to figure out how to get the lake, the dock and the fireworks...it was the thought that counted right?

More fireworks at Gravel Ponds the following night (much better-an hour long show!)

This was the grand finale that went for 2 minutes and lit up the entire sky-

And finally, we finished up by creating a collage of Kian's first fireworks shows:

And I tried to include the (sideways) video capture of that finale for your amazement:

(and NO I did NOT zoom in, we were a 100 yards or more away and it really did get THAT BIG! I tried backing up, but couldn't in time!)

Wordless Wednesday with a twist

Ok, I'm not really participating, but I thought I'd share what I feel is "vintage" for me these days:

Size 10 pants!

Goodbye 8's and 10's, HELLO 6's!!

This week's theme: Color! Go on over to Rachel's blog to check out the other participants and don't forget to vote for your fave!

Since it is still very brown in upstate NY, I had to make do with what colors I could find:

Pink of a baby's hand

Green of basil being eaten by a cat

Yellow of Sunny Daffodils

Blue of a baby's first spring

White of a naughty, screen-climbing cat

Purple of Crocuses pushing through frozen ground

Green of cat eyes and fuzzy blankets

And just because I love my crocuses:

Check out this bee! He was warming up his wings in the sunshine:

Even though I am not even close to having awesome pictures like the rest, I figured I'd join in again for Rachel's Fotofest. Enjoy! (some are old because, well in 2 feet of snow and 15 degree weather, I just couldn't get out to get pictures!) Then go to her page and check out everyone else's pictures!
